Have you ever been watching a movie, or a television show, and heard that cliche, ominous-sounding music, telling you a murder's about to occur? You're sitting there, watching what may be the best asphyx scene you've seen in a long time, and just when the action peaks, WHAM! The camera cuts away to some completely irrelevant scene! The studios think they're creating suspense, when all we want is a good, long scene with no cuts.

That's where this site comes in.

Cinemasphyxia.com spotlights asphyx scenes in mainstream film and television, complete with scene descriptions and commentary written by me, and a video captured preview image of each scene. You won't find any camera cuts here, because I remove every irrelevant scene from every clip I edit.

RECORDING, EDITING, PRODUCTION

I started this hobby in 1999, using an old video compression format called MPEG-1. I wanted to ensure player compatibility across both PC's and Mac's. In March 2008, I upgraded my video capture hardware and switched to high-quality Windows Media Video compression. WMV is also compatible with PC's and Mac's, and it offers better video quality and smaller file sizes over MPEG-1. Since then, I've been re-editing my collection, slowly replacing all of my old MPEG's with new WMV's while continuing to add new content to the site. As of April 2010, over 200 of my cilps are now in WMV format.

UPDATES

I am at the mercy of what's available, and what I can get my hands on. To keep the site updated regularly and frequently, I post one new clip every weekend.

THIS SITE IS ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE

Cinemasphyxia.com is a privately owned site, created and maintained by me. It is strictly a labor of love, a medium through which to share my love for fantasy asphyxia with you, and is hosted by Dreamhost.com. I pay all maintenance costs out of my own pocket. As such, access to the site and all of its content is absolutely free of charge -- no subscriptions, no advertising.

This is not an adult site in the sense that it contains pornographic or sexually explicit material. If that's what you're looking for, then I'm sorry, you won't find it here; it is simply a matter that some of the themes addressed by Cinemasphyxia.com may be objectionable to parents or other individuals.
